Enjoy this versatile "superfood from the sea"!

Sea moss is a nutrient-dense, edible seaweed that grows naturally along the coasts of the Atlantic Ocean in Southern America, Europe, Africa, and the Caribbean. For centuries, sea moss has been used for its antibacterial, anti-inflammatory, thyroid, and immunity-boosting properties.* Sea moss has gained popularity as a superfood addition to beverages such as teas, coffee, juices, and smoothies, in addition to many foods. It has also been used for skin and hair beauty regimens.

Boasting over 92 minerals and nutrients, our VIP Gold Sea Moss is top quality sea moss from St. Lucia, 100% natural, organic, wildcrafted, non-GMO, vegan, gluten-free, and sustainably harvested.

You can enjoy in its clean, soaked raw form or gel. There are many ways to add sea moss to your wellness routine so have fun being creative! Our VIP Gold Sea Moss is high quality and almost tasteless. It doesn't have the fishy/seawater taste, which allows it to blend well with your food or beverage of choice.

Our 1 oz bag makes ~20-30 oz of gel. How much and how often you take it is up to you, however, many recommend no more than 1-2 tablespoons daily. Start slow and increase as tolerated. Suggest starting with 1 teaspoon a day, alternating month on/off.

Directions to Make Sea Moss Gel

No Heat Method

1. Rinse sea moss with water. 2. Soak in container with fresh water (filtered, spring, distilled or alkaline preferred) for minimum 8-24 hours in refrigerator (or until soft and gelatinous)*.  Make sure to fully cover sea moss with water and cover. Sea moss will expand 3-5x its original size. 3. Rinse. 4. Add to blender with fresh water in a ratio of ~1 cup sea moss to ~1-2 cups fresh water (this amount will vary depending on desired consistency). Blend for desired texture.

*Please note, if the sea moss is not soft/slimy after soaking and you desire a smooth, creamy texture, the heat method is recommended .

Heat Method

Steps 1-4 same as No Heat method. 5. If after blending the sea moss is not as smooth as desired, place in pot and simmer on low heat, stirring frequently, for no more than 10 minutes. 6. Allow to sit to cool off (10-15 minutes). 7. Add Sea moss to blender with fresh water and blend to your desired consistency. If too thick, add more water.

Refrigerate or freeze immediately in airtight container. Sea moss gel is generally good for up to 3 weeks in refrigerator and one year in freezer. Always inspect for signs of freshness prior to ingestion.

Similar to dry tea and herbs, raw/dry sea moss should be stored in a cool, dark place.

Please note, there are several methods for preparation and there's no rule that sea moss must be made into a gel. This is a natural product, so you may notice white salt residue or debris on the raw moss. This is normal and why it's important to rinse clean. Once cleaned and soaked, you can eat as is, add to salads, sandwiches, egg rolls, etc... Find what works best for your needs and be creative!
